What is the form of currency (money) in India?

My friend told me it's "rupees," like in the legend of Zelda, but I don't believe him.

4. Yes, the currency of India is the Rupee, your friend is correct...and probably very smart. I US dollar is worth approximately 39 Rupees, as of 2/1/2007.
5. rupees, ur friend was right jsut cuz ur friend knew and u didn't till now doesn't mean he's smarter then u. he's jsut plain lucky he found out. and now u know as well. and with the link i gave u, u can find out the currency of everythign else and get him back =p
