What are the options of an Indian student for managing currency exchange during a 100 day stay in Europe?

I am weighing the options for: - Getting a SBI Vishwa yatra card or any such card - Exchanging for Euros in India, take them there and deposit in a student's bank account - Taking traveller's cheques and then deposit them in a European bank as and when required. Please suggest what could be a better option. Or If any other better alternative would also be great. Thanks!

  1. Hi, Well as u r going to Europe upto best of my knowledge u should carry some amount in cash, and some in the card form as because sometimes when u reach there u require small amounts of cash like for eating, taxi and things like that. Now as cash card is concerned it is a good option but kindly check that every time u need to convert them and u have to pay for the conversion charges plus applicable govt taxes. at the applicable date . For currency conversion u may visit Reliance Money Express office in your city which can give u the best currency conversion rates. They provide u the international travellers card also. Also u need a travel insurance also for going abroad. If u need any help can mail me at amitashg@hotmail.com
